"Understanding Faiths" Training

Would you like to know more about the different faiths in our region?

Are you seeking to build stronger understanding, respect and co-operation
among people of different faith backgrounds?

Would you like to explore the developments in Equality and Human Rights legislation relating to Religion or Belief?

Sheffield Faiths Forum, in partnership with Faith Matters, is offering this faith awareness training opportunity free for members of faith groups in the city.

The full day seminar aims to:
• Develop awareness of the place of faith in the lives of individuals, communities and society
• Develop awareness of the diverse make up of our communities within regional and national contexts
• Introduce the diversity within and between different faith traditions
• Unpack the legislation and terminology surrounding Religion or Belief
• Explore the relationships between faith communities and civic society
• Support the development of personal action plans to achieve real change in our communities

Each participant will receive a copy of ‘Understanding Faiths – a practical guide to working with faith communities’.
