Awards of up to £10,000 from Sheffield’s Green Bond
Are you a local community or voluntary group or organisation working to benefit Sheffield’s environment? If you have a project in the pipeline or an established project that could do with some extra funding, why not register your interest in applying for an award of up to £10,000 from Sheffield’s Green Bond. The Bond is seeking to fund projects under three themes: Green spaces, waterways and young people.
Sheffield’s Green Bond is a no-risk investment scheme set up so individuals and businesses can show support for Sheffield’s natural environment.
Money invested in the Bond is planted in the bank for five years and the interest raised is used to support voluntary and community groups care for and maintain the city’s green spaces and waterways and engage young people in improving the environment. Individual investment start at as little as £25 and the initial sum of money is returned to the investors after the fixed term has elapsed.
The deadline for completed applications is August 31st 2008.
