We are pleased to announce that Mike Fitter, Chair of Sheffield Faiths Forum, has been appointed on to the Sheffield First Partnership Board – the lead Board of Sheffield’s Local Strategic Partnership. This means, for the first time, faith communities have a clear route to influence on Sheffield First, significantly strengthening the voice of faith communities in some of the key decisions being made about the future of Sheffield.

Your opportunity to influence
Sheffield First, the Local Strategic Partnership, is now recruiting members of the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector on to the Sheffield First Partnership Board. The Board is looking for people who are experienced and active contributors in their field, passionate about Sheffield and want to be part of shaping the City's future.
The Board co-ordinates the work of a range of different agencies and initiatives to move the City towards achieving its vision and ambitions set out in the Sheffield City Strategy.
Faith groups and their media needs
The Media Trust is conducting some research to explore how faith groups view the media, how important they regard communications, what aspirations they have in this area and what training they would need to help them. For this purpose they have constructed an online survey which they would like to encourage as many faith groups as possible to complete.
